Sivaji movie is about black money
Excellent :Thats what Happens to Rajini's Movie :)
Finally, after a year long wait, the movie is out and it is definitely worth wait. Sivaji is a product of an intelligent director, Shankar, who has created the movie for the actor Rajinikanth. Both enjoy a larger than life image and Sivaji is much larger than you can possibly think. To say the movie is fantastic is only an understatement. Pure Entertainment. This time Shankar digs at the black money that has been plaguing the society. That is the message for you, if you want it to be.
Story:
Sivaji is a returning NRI (Software architects) He resigns his big money spinning job in USA and returns to India for good. His aim – to setup a University and a Hospital, through which he could offer education and medical facility to everyone – for free.
He throws his idea to the corporate and gathers their support for moving ahead. One such bigwig is Adikesavan (Suman) – an entrepreneur who owns a chain of educational and medical institutions. Adi consents to help Shivaji, but smoothly advices him to invest all his money in other businesses like a Mall, real estate’s etc... Shivaji insists on his mission, Adi retorts by saying that his business will get hit and asks Shivaji to watch out.
Shivaji and his Mama (Vivek) sets on their mission, but face innumerable problems from the Government officials. The straight talking Shivaji reluctantly accepts to bribe the Government officials and a minister to get the necessary permissions to go ahead with his project. Adi becomes incensed and the king maker he is, he flips the ruling party aside and brings his men to power. Shivaji is yet again taken to task by the new minister, who asks for 50 crores to permit Shivaji going ahead with his project.
Shivaji now reaches an irritation limit and refuses to pay the minister. In the meantime, Adi in the meantime plays his card right and brings down Shivaji’s world and dream. Shivaji is left penniless after he loses the case at court. Adi mocks him on the way out and gives him one rupee to survive. He asks Shivaji to do the earliest job known to man – begging!
Shivaji vows to right the wrongs and bring down Adi and others with just that 1 Rupee. How he does it, forms the rest of the movie.
Shivaji finds out about the black money Adi has in his stash and by a trick gains hold of all the necessary documents. He blackmails Adi and gets 50% of his total black money. If you wonder where the 1 Rupee is used, he uses that 1 rupee to call Adi and blackmail him.
This sets Shivaji’s brain working. He finds out that there is a total of 20, 00,000 crores of black money in play in India. Shivaji gets the help of the bigwigs’ auditors, financial advisors, drivers (rather bullies them) to part away with the proof of their black money. Here the screenplay becomes quite unbelievable. The word office room will bring a few chuckles to the audience here after! ;)
Shivaji becomes The BOSS (Bachelor of Social Service), an Indian Robin Hood – who steals from the rich and gives the poor. He also involves in illegal transactions to make the black money white and uses that for realizing his dream and becomes an icon in the society.remainng story should watch on silver screen only
Performances:
Rajini has numerous hair styles, even more than that Shriya, gives you a sweet surprise. He appears in the best of costumes which has not happened in the past. Instead of a cigarette, this time it's a chewing gum and a one-rupee coin. The coin gimmick has been done via graphics but the gum-popping scene at least looks real. And the climax motto get-up along with a little tap that he does on his head is "the best" and will be left unchallenged for a long time to come.
Rajnikant has played like Chriu NTR, Akkineni in a song. On the dream song of Rajnikant,Shriya’s first night, both of them play for the songs of "Nee Kallu Cheptunnai .." (Premabhishekam), "Aku Chatu Pinde Tadise.." (Vetagadu), "Abba Nee Tiyyani Debba.." (Jagadekaveerudu Atiloka Sundari). Shriya has looked very glamorously in the film. She has done her part perfectly. She dances very well and is extremely glamorous in the songs. She even has more time on the screen than other Rajini's heroines in the past. Vivek, the perfect side-kick for the boss, handles his role with ease. He keeps you tickled throughout and appears with Rajini throughout the film.
Suman as AdiKeshavan is the bad guy and he plays his role very smoothly without the clichéd shouting and Tata Sumos that we have associated with villains in Tollywood Movies. Suman has been a revelation in terms of Villain. Speaking fewer words and with no over the board shouting, he has done a wonderful job and looks menacing. The confrontation scenes b/w Rajini and Suman are highlight of the movie. Apart from this, there is Manivannan, Vadivukarasi (trivial roles for both), VMC Haneefa, MS Baskar, and Raghuvaran playing supporting roles. When you hear about CPR, Money Laundering, and Voice Recognition Software in the movie, you immediately identify Sujatha as the man with the pen. Not just the serious ones, even the lighter ones are good along with a couple of double meaning dialogues.
AR Rahman, the maestro, has done a wonderful job with the songs and the rerecording. The background score for the stunt scene in the music shop was excellent. Style song and Adhiradee song graphics are top class (Both are fantasy songs)
Nayantara looks absolutely gorgeous in the intro song.
Talking about stunts, Peter Hein has done his best in the music shop fight. The second one in the garage was very ordinary, while the car chase and the climax were beautifully choreographed.
Thotta Tharani and KV Anand tells you through their sets and camera why they have won National Award for their previous works. The sets for the vaji vaji and sahana song - Egyptian palace, glass house - are amazing. The camera is so fluid with stunning visuals and amazing picture quality. Different songs have been choreographed by different people. All the songs have stunning visuals typical of Shankar.
Shankar, the man behind all this deserves all the appreciation that is on its way to him. The man thinks big and executes them big on the screen. He has just showed what one can do with the Super Star. He has worked to Rajinis strength and that has done wonders to the movie. No other film/director can show Rajini as was done in Sivaji.
On the flip side, only one negative remark I would like to make - the opening of the movie. A Big let down. For the first ten minutes fans were in utter shock looking at the movie and had already started scolding Shankar. The build-up was missing and you don't introduce the superstar like this. The lack of build-up affects the ballelakka song and the song does not create the kind of sensation. As for the minus points in the movie, there is one scene with Shreya and train which is kinda unbelievable. other one is NRIs who are senior software architects will not be worth 200 crores. It’s inconceivable. Secondly, meeting Suman, ministers, government officials etc is not so easily possible for common man turned rich NRI. Thirdly, the ministers/political people in this movie are vague. Suman ridiculously changes the ministry by snapping his fingers. We do not know if any one of the caricatured ministers who appear in this movie is a Chief Minister or not. Finally, Sivaji drags people (auditors, drivers, Thalsildars) into his 'office', beats them, stabs ministers and stitches them up instantly
Screenplay:
The small rajini comes from US.the story begins from that.opening song is ballelaika with nayanthara. The story moves normally with Vivek jokes.vivek has given an excellent performance.he has been given equal weightage to rajni in the first half.shriya is characterised as an innocent girl.then love with shriya.sahana song.then she comes to know about the other side of rajini with violence.she fets apart.you might have seen that scene in the trailor.after she bangs the door, sahana sad version.actualy rajini does all good things to people through violence and blackmiles like a villain since he doesnt get justice through rules.the scenes involving these sequences is one of the main highlight.then he describes the flashback to shreya regarding why he is doin all these.now big shivaji entrance.THE FLASHBACK IS FOR 42 MINUTES SHARP.THIS IS THE MAIN HIGHLIGHT OF THE WHOLE MOVIE.RAJINI WITH MOTTAI GET UP IS THE BIG RAJINI.YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN THOSE STILLS WITH MOTTAI RAJINI LIKE A DON. SHANKAR SAID THAT THERE IS A SURPRISE FOR RAJINI FANS IN THE MOVIE.THE MOTTAI GET UP IS THE SURPRISE.TAKE MY WORDS,THOSE 42 MINUTES ARE THE BEST EVER IN INDIAN CINEMA.THALAIAVR MAY POSSIBLY GET EVEN A NATIONAL AWARD FOR THAT.LOTS OF STYLE,PUNCH DIALOGUES & DEDICATED ACTING IN THAT 42 MINUTES.since its too special,i cant say more about it.see it urself in the theatre.that would be more interesting. Rani Mukherjee IS THE SURPRISE HEROINE in the film.she is big Rajini’s pair.then big rajini is killed as said in the story.then small rajini takes revenge & he preaches about some ideas to our people & leaves the town.the film ends.
Main theme of the movie
shankar has exploited that going against the laws for doing good to thepoor people is never wrong.and the main highlight is HE HAS INTRODUCED SOME NEW METHODS AND IDEAS REGARDING HOW POOR PEOPLE CAN REFORM TO HIGHSOCIETY,HOW VILLAGES CAN BE TRANSFORMED TO HIGH TECH CITIES.I REALYFAINTED ON HEARING THOSE IDEAS AND HIS GORGEOUS IMAGINATION..HATS OFF TO SHANKAR'S INTELLIGENCE.HE REALY DESERVES AN AWARD FOR THIS,.YOU WILLUNDERSTAND THE TRUTH IN MY WORDS AFTER SEEING THE FILM
Message the movie gives
It talks about the lying black money in the country. If we can unearth all the black money and use it for the development of the society, India can become great nation. If Chandramuki, which had no steam in it, could run for 800 days, then Sivaji has a long way to go. Its time for AVM to start filling their coffers after having emptied them for the past one year. This clearly is a Rajni movie. Rajni knows what his fans want and has given exactly that, and some more. Watch Shivaji – you wouldn’t regret the experience. This is a Rajni special.
HighLight
The highlight of the film is a song, where he appears as several characters including MGR, thespian Sivaji, Kamal Haasan and even as himself. For the Telugu version, he appears as N.T. Rama Rao and Chiranjeevi.
